Vickie Aldridge

Vickie is a Certified Iyengar Yoga Instructor, with over 30 years of experience in yoga. She has studied with the Iyengars many times, both in the United States and India. She and her husband Jerry, previously owned the Boise Yoga Center for 25 years and also teach Yoga for Boise State University. Vickie has been a guest Yoga teacher for many years at various cities throughout the U.S and takes yoga groups internationally to exotic locations. She feels her Yoga practice helps her through the many challenges of life. She has a particular interest in therapeutic Yoga and has been working in that field for over 15 years. Vickie was on staff at Idaho Rehabilitation & Pain Center, teaching Yoga to chronic pain patients and also at St. Alphonsus Ambulatory & Rehabilitative Services (STAARS) creating private Yoga programs for a broad range of patients. Vickie has received the confidence of physical therapists, doctors, her patients and students, and has been a member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists since 1990. Vickie teaches a class for Ladies on TH 10 – 11:30am at the new Iyengar Yoga Center of Boise, 1512 N. 10th St.

James Burton

James Burton began his practice of Iyengar yoga in 1997 and received his teaching certification in 2003. Originally from Sydney, Australia, James has called Boise home since 2005. His teaching style is challenging yet supportive and is inspired by his intensive personal practice. He gets a great sense of satisfaction watching his students progress in their yoga. James continues to study with his teacher in Australia, as well as with the Iyengar family in India.  James teaches at the new

Don Gura

 

Don Gura is a certified Iyengar Yoga instructor. He has been to India to study with the Iyengars several times over the past 15 years. His teachers are senior-level teacher, Mary Obendorfer in Kauai, HI and Randy Just in Dallas, TX. Don’s style of teaching follows the Iyengar method and comes from his own previous experiences in competitive athletics. He emphasizes a student’s own practice to experience the true benefits of yoga and provides the tools to develop this skill in his classes.

Barbara Harris

Barbara Barbara Harris is a Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher.  She became interested in yoga over 20 years ago.  Her serious study began when an accident and life behind a desk led to chronic back problems.  Over the years she has studied with many well-respected senior Iyengar teachers like Felicity Green, Mary Obendorfer and Eddy Marks, Neeta Data, and Patricia Walden.  She has been teaching Boise State University classes at Boise Yoga Center for the past 4 years and has taught at College of Western Idaho as well as in several corporate wellness programs.  Barbara is a dedicated student and a caring and attentive teacher with a goal of passing on to her students the joy and freedom of an Iyengar yoga practice.

Susan Lamberson

Susan Lamberson, a Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher, was introduced to yoga in the 1970’s through a book from her father. Since then her life has always been enhanced by the experience of yoga. She began formal study of Iyengar yoga with Bobbi Goldin at the Yoga Institute of Miami 1994. In 1996 she moved to Three Rivers, CA, where she opened Yoga of the Sequoias and taught for over twelve years. She is committed to yoga as an evolving discipline and passes that knowledge to her students. Her classes are described as inspiring and playful. She looks forward to meeting you.

Barb Sato

2 Parivrtta Trikonasana 2014-10 d  Barb Sato first came to yoga in 2011 in search of some variety in her physical fitness routine.  She was immediately drawn to the precision and discipline of the practice.  “After a class, I felt grounded, mentally energized, and overall balanced in a way I had not felt before,” she says.  “I knew I found where I was meant to be.”  A desire to deepen her study of yoga led her to teacher training and she earned her certification under the Iyengar method in 2015.  She enjoys sharing this powerful path to self-awareness and acceptance, peace and well-being.  Barb’s teaching style is attentive and encouraging and her classes provide students with instruction and feedback to build confidence and progression in their yoga journey.  www.barbyoga.com Barb teaches at the new Iyengar Yoga Center of Boise, 1512 N. 10th St.
